Controller
Horseshoe Hammond, LLC, 777 Casino Center Drive, Hammond, IN 46320, decides how reader data on valeozen.com is handled and answers for it. Anything about this notice or your own records: privacy@valeozen.com.
Information involved
- Connection details sent automatically with each page request: your IP address, your user agent (which identifies browser software and hardware class), the referring address, and a timestamp.
- Approximate geolocation derived from that IP address, never finer than a metro area or state.
- Reading patterns, only after you enable analytics: entries opened, time spent, clicks on hotel buttons.
- Contact-form content: any name, reply address, topic and wording you put into the prepared email and then decide to send.
Card numbers, ID documents and passwords are never requested here.
Purposes and legal bases
- Serving pages and blocking abuse: necessary, under our legitimate interest in a working site.
- Analytics, to learn which hotel notes readers find useful: consent.
- Marketing measurement and referral credit with partner or affiliate networks: consent.
- Replying to correspondence: your request plus our legitimate interest in answering it.
Retention
Raw server logs roll off within 90 days. Analytics stays pseudonymised or aggregated and is purged by month 26. Email threads remain while live and are then archived two years at most. Your consent answer lives in your own browser until you clear or change it.
GDPR and UK GDPR rights
Readers protected by European or UK data law hold six levers: access (a copy of our records on you), rectification, erasure, restriction, portability (a machine-readable export) and objection wherever we lean on legitimate interest. Consent given here can be pulled back through the Manage cookies button that sits in each Valeozen footer. Your national data regulator also accepts complaints about us. Requests: privacy@valeozen.com.
California rights (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents can ask Valeozen to disclose the categories and the actual pieces of personal information on file, to delete or fix them, and to halt selling or cross-context behavioural sharing of it. Because referral and advertising storage may qualify as sharing, pressing “Reject All” or leaving the advertising switch off works as the opt-out, and browsers broadcasting Global Privacy Control get that opt-out without further action. Asserting any of them is free, and Valeozen will treat you no differently afterwards. A representative holding your signed authorisation may file on your behalf.
Minors
Valeozen is edited with adult travellers in view, and nobody under 18 is its intended reader. Should a teenager have emailed us, a note to the privacy address gets that correspondence wiped.
Revisions
Each revision moves the date beneath the title; larger rewrites also earn a short mention on the Valeozen front page for several weeks.
