Valeozen funding, ownership ties, and why both matter when reading our order.

The short version

Lake-clear: This site contains affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you follow a link and make a booking/purchase or download, at no extra cost to you.

Valeozen runs on affiliate commission, which arrives whenever a partner programme credits us with a stay reserved via one of our buttons. Any fee is paid by the partner; the room rate you see is untouched.

The publisher's interest

Horseshoe Hammond, LLC, the publisher of this site, runs a casino venue in Hammond, Indiana that has no hotel rooms, so it cannot be part of a casino-hotel list and is not in it. None of the ten hotels is owned by the publisher. Two of them, Harrah's Joliet and Horseshoe St. Louis, are run by subsidiaries of Caesars Entertainment, the group the publisher also belongs to, and each of those two carries the label “Sister property (same parent group)”. Because the publisher operates in this region, it has a commercial interest in people travelling here, and you should read the list with that in mind.

What the sister-property label means

Two hotels on the list, Harrah's Joliet and Horseshoe St. Louis, are operated by Caesars Entertainment subsidiaries, the corporate family the publisher also sits in. Wherever either appears it wears the tag “Sister property (same parent group)”. Their places were set using the identical yardstick applied to the other eight.

Editorial independence

Positions cannot be bought. Whether a link earns anything is irrelevant to inclusion and to sequence alike. Every main button points to the property's official website rather than to a third-party booking portal.
